Alfredo Häberli

Alfredo Häberli was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1964. He moved to Switzerland in 1977. Today, he is an internationally established designer based in Zürich.

His work and designs combine tradition with innovation, joy with energy, essentiality with function. The products he designed for Alias, BD Barcelona, Camper, Georg Jensen, Iittala, Kvadrat, Luceplan, Moroso and Vitra prove evidence of this.

Alfredo Häberli’s collaboration with Schiffini gave rise to the design of the Mesa kitchen, at the basis of which is the experience of his childhood. The vision of his kitchen breaks with the aseptic forms featured in interior design magazines and showrooms and takes shape in a workshop-like kitchen, a space where people can really cook and live. In other words, a kitchen as the soul of the home.
Alfredo Häberli’s design works have been shown at numerous exhibitions and have won him many international awards.
